Getting to Lemon Hill Pavilion

Lemon Hill Pavilion is a covered picnic area located within Lemon Hill Park of East Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. (Please note that the Lemon Hill Gazebo is not the pavilion.) There is no physical address, so please read the guidelines below to help you find it.

 

PARKING

There is a parking lot near the pavilion accessible from Lemon Hill Dr which holds about 20 cars. Additional parking can be found along the shoulder of Sedgley Drive. Please orient your vehicle in the correct direction of traffic and take care not to drive on top of grass.

 

DIRECTIONS  

   

To find to the parking lot, navigate to Lemon Hill Dr Philadelphia, PA 19130 or 39°58'15.1"N 75°11'16.4"W. From there, turn onto the paved path and follow it to the left towards the pavilion.

To get to Sedgley Drive, navigate to Lemon Hill Picnic Area #6 and park along the shoulder. Nearby are a couple of picnic tables next to a walking path; follow this path up to the pavilion.

 

 

PUBLIC TRANSIT


from Fishtown

Girard Ave (trolley): From Girard and 33rd St, walk south along the east side of Poplar Dr until you come to Poplar St. Follow the walking directions below.

from Center City

Route 32 (bus): From Poplar St. and 30th St, walk west along Poplar St towards Poplar Dr. Follow the walking directions below.

 

Walking directions There are two zebra (pedestrian) crossings across Poplar Dr, one north and one south of Poplar St. Follow the footpath that starts at the southern crossing (green line on the map above) towards the pavilion, passing by the playground and basketball court (on your right) and baseball field (on your left). Cross over Sedgley Drive, paying attention to traffic, and continue on the path up to the pavilion.

The park is a family and pet-friendly public space. Please note the rules below.

• No smoking  

• No driving on grass

• No alcohol

• Keep pets on leash

• No music or amplified sound
